Not school. Not a boxed STEM kit.

Curiosity first.

The class begins with a story—how people discovered something, what they got wrong, what changed, and why it mattered. Then the kids get their hands on the idea.

We teach the story. Then we make it real.

Chronological by design.

Ideas make more sense when discoveries have causes, consequences and characters.

A physical payoff every class.

Build it, test it, restore it, wire it, measure it, observe it or take it apart.

Failures, strange detours, wrong theories and real historical stakes are often what kids remember.

What we've done

Every semester becomes its own world.

The pictures tell the story better than a brochure ever could. These are actual Recreation NOW students doing the work.

Spring–Summer · Paleontology

Restore actual prehistoric material.

Students learned preparation and observation techniques using real tools—carefully removing matrix, examining specimens and treating the work like a real lab instead of a classroom craft.

Electricity & Engineering

Wire it. Test it. Tear it apart.

Students built circuits, traced wiring, learned how components interact, and then moved from simple systems into actual machines and mechanisms.

Fall–Winter · Filmmaking

Make the whole thing.

Students wrote, designed props, recorded sound, acted, operated production gear and learned how a film gets built from an idea into a finished piece.

Chemistry.

From fire, pigments and metallurgy to alchemy, gases, atoms, the periodic table and modern materials—taught in the order human beings actually figured it out.
